About this blog

A ministry of Peace Lutheran Church in Waunakee, Wisconsin, the Wild Word Project is an attempt to keep an eye out for the ways God is at work in the world.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
-John 1:1

"And the Word became flesh and lived among us..."
-John 1:14a

"We trust that the Spirit has done great things and that the Spirit isn’t done with us yet."
-Reformation Day Sermon 2011

The Holy Spirit is on the loose among us.  We trust in this promise and live into it.  This blog is an attempt at documenting just some of the many ways God's Wild Wild Word is among us.  Comment.  Question. Ponder.  Dream.  Watch.  Wait.  Listen.  Read.  Play.  Laugh.  Share.

The features will grow and change as we figure out what it means to be in this ministry together, but some of the features to watch for are "Tuesday's Text"--an opportunity to read together one of the texts for Sunday, comment on it, and ponder the ways that God might be working in and through and around us today.  On Friday, you will be invited to share a photo based on a "Wild Word of the Week."  Most importantly, it's a way for us to be reminded of the  ways we are bound together as the body of Christ, at work in the world.

"...and we have seen his glory, the glory of a father's only son, full of grace and truth."
-John 1:14b
